Summit Tour Bejenado
The nice trail starts at the Cumbrecita (small roof) in the Caldera de Taburiente National Park. On the partly steep ascent through the fragrant pine forest, we are accompanied by magnificent views of the deep gorges of the caldera.
Once arrived at the summit at 1854m we enjoy the view far over the island and up to the Teide on Tenerife. A cozy picnic strengthens us for the way back.
Distance 13km, 6 hours, +550/-1000m
Sustainability Guidelines
• Do not leave any litter behind, including cigarette butts. Food waste attracts rodents and stray cats, which pose a serious threat to native wildlife.
• Respect the animals; do not disturb or feed them. If you see an injured animal, you can report it by calling the emergency number 112. Do not pick any flowers or plants.
• Do not collect stones or other natural elements, nor alter them by stacking them into so-called “rock cairns.”
• Treat public amenities (such as information boards, handrails, benches, lighting, binoculars, and telescopes) with care and respect.
• Follow the signage along the paths. Straying off marked trails and designated areas harms the environment and can also pose a risk to you and your companions.
• Try to preserve the peacefulness of the area by avoiding excessive noise (such as loud music or shouting).
