Ridge Hike to Roque de los Muchachos – Mondays
A spectacular, winding drive takes us through five climate zones up to the roof of the island, at over 2000m. Awaiting us is a unique hike along a well-maintained ridge trail, offering breathtaking views into the Caldera and across the entire island. On clear days, we can see the three neighboring islands—Tenerife, La Gomera, and El Hierro—and even catch glimpses of La Palma’s famous cloud waterfall from time to time. The hiking path winds over various mountain ridges, passing quirky world-class observatories built among ancient indigenous huts and legendary basalt walls. An unforgettable hike that everyone should experience at least once.
Tip: In May and June, the mountains are in bloom, offering a unique color experience. This is the time when the giant viper’s bugloss, La Palma violet, and various species of broom bloom, found only on Tenerife and La Palma.
